St. Paul Catholic Center, Bloomington is seeking a full time Director of Mission Advancement to lead and manage the direction, planning and execution of major and planned gift fundraising and development activities for the parish, particularly in its role as a Newman Center and campus ministry. The Director of Mission Advancement is responsible for planning and implementing all fundraising strategies executed by the development office. This will include, but is not limited to, annual fund, major gifts, planned giving, capital campaigns, corporate and foundation fundraising, serving as a liaison for all development efforts, and maintaining a sustainable development program. This position manages and oversees the use of fundraising software, analyzes and reports data and participates in the design and execution of our special events. This position supervises the Coordinator of Development and all of their activities. The Director of Mission Advancement maintains an active donor recognition and stewardship program to assure accountability and extend relationships with high level funders. This position facilitates the identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospects for major and planned gifts.
Applicants must be active, practicing Catholics with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and three to five years of demonstrated development experience. Other requirements include a high level of technical proficiency in utilizing computers and computer software, ability to take initiative and responsibility, work independently and adapt to a changing environment. This position also requires excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Work schedule will include weekdays, some evenings and weekends. Occasional travel (overnight) and long-distance driving will also be required.
