Hoosier Catholics help in the Bloomington community through the Interfaith Winter Shelter, the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Habitat for Humanity, Mother Hubbard’s Cupboard, and many more.
Interfaith Winter Shelter
Saint Paul provides volunteers to staff the low-barrier overnight shelter on Tuesday nights starting November 1st. Students are particularly needed for the late-night shifts. A training session at Saint Paul’s will be provided October 10th at 6 pm -for more details, contact Alexandra (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Every weekday, the Community Kitchen of Monroe County prepares both to-go meals to schools and the homebound, as well as serving dinner from 3:30-6:30 pm in-house. Alexandra goes twice a month, but there's opportunity for you to go on other days. For more information, contact Alexandra (email@example.com).
