Coordinators: Sally Kofmehl & Marie Gougeon
This ministry helps ease some of the burdens of a grieving family by providing a meal for families after funerals at St. Paul Catholic Center. Volunteers are needed to set up, serve, and clean up, as well as provide dishes for the Bethany Meal. As the need for this ministry arises unexpectedly, and sometimes on short notice, volunteers assist as their schedules permit.
Homebound Home Cooking
Coordinator: Valli Youngs
Parishioners recuperating at home from short-term injuries or illnesses can be hard-pressed to cook for themselves. When that happens, they can turn to this committee, whose members will prepare and deliver a meal.
Coordinator: Fr. Patrick
Bring a little TLC into the lives of IU students by helping with weekly home-style dinners (including the monthly, and much-loved, spaghetti supper) after the 5:30 p.m. Mass every Sunday. Team members prepare and serve supper fare to appreciative college students. Time commitment is two or three hours a month during the school year.
Coordinator: Volunteer needed!
The library serves all members of the parish with reading and some media materials to help them grow in the Catholic faith. The committee maintains reference and reading materials in the library and display shelves of materials in the Gathering Space. Members select new materials for purchase, keep the materials shelved and in good order and publicize the collection. The committee meets monthly.
Snacks for Parish Events
Coordinator: Valli Youngs
Volunteers provide snacks for special parish events such as receptions, student study tables, priest dinners, and other events on an as-needed basis. Volunteers are contacted by phone or e-mail when snacks are needed.
Coffee & Donuts
Coordinator: Len Tieman
Families and individuals serve these tasty delights after the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masses on the first and third Sundays of the month. It’s a fun way to meet other parishioners. Two or three volunteers are needed to serve coffee and juice. Time commitment is 5-10 minutes before Mass to set up coffee, and 30-40 minutes immediately following Mass to serve and clean up.
Coordinator: Ross Grimes
We maintain the beauty of our grounds and gardens. Friends and families work together on landscaping projects and during periodic “clean up” times through the summer growing season. Looking for a fun project? Adopt a flowerbed and make it your own, join a work session or help plan and execute a larger project. Some gardening experience is helpful.
