Religious Ed as a Family Experience
Families have a significant role in parish life at St. Paul. Your commitment to raising your children and youth in the Catholic faith is a witness to the whole community. All children, youth, and families are on a unique spiritual journey, and our faith formation team will do its best to meet your needs. Whether you are preparing your child for baptism or confirmation, seeking more engagement in social justice issues, or desiring a deeper connection to the liturgy, please know that we value your needs and hope to support you along your journey to the best of our ability.
In addition to our 2016-2017 Religious Education Program Guide, St. Paul offers fellowship and volunteer experiences for the family that will provide a comprehensive spiritual formation. Please contact me if you desire more or different experiences for your family. In the meantime, I look forward to building a relationship with your family and joining you on your spiritual journey at St. Paul Catholic Center.
Here at St. Paul we joyfully celebrate the sacraments that bind us together as a people of faith–people who look to encounter God in those moments of liturgy when we know God and one another in the most life-giving ways.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is for any adult 19 years or older who would like to learn more about the Catholic Church or to continue their Sacramental journey. This also serves as the vehicle for entering the Church. At St. Paul, this ministry meets weekly from September to the beginning of May with a mandatory retreat prior to Palm Sunday. Foundations of the Catholic Church are covered that will prepare the candidate for lifelong learning about the Catholic faith. Confirmed Catholic sponsors are always needed for the people exploring the faith. Anyone who has been a sponsor is also welcome to inquire about becoming a core team member. Entrance interview and registration is requested prior to attending. Click here for the RCIA Inquiry Form 2016-17.
Additional information about RCIA is available from the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
St. Paul offers three opportunities for religious education for your children ranging in age from four years old to eighth grade. Please download the 2016-2017 Religious Education Program Guide for complete information. To register, please fill out this form.
