Fr. Patrick Hyde, O.P.
Fr. Patrick grew up in St. Louis and attended Catholic grade school and high school. He attended the University of Richmond where he studied journalism and Latin. After college, he taught middle school English and theology for one year on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona at St. Michael Indian School, a school founded by St. Katharine Drexel.
While teaching, Fr. Patrick sensed God was calling him to religious life and a move back to the Midwest. He was attracted to the Dominican emphasis on study and their common life and prayer. He entered the Dominican novitiate in 2009, professed first vows in 2010, and was ordained a priest on May 14, 2016.
He has served at St. Paul's since 2016.
